About the conference

The EA Conference brought together the most influential members in the global commodities markets for an exclusive 2 days of dialogue and networking. It took place at a prestigious venue in Central London from 30 September to 1 October.

  • Energy Supply

    This expert panel will delved into the composition of the global energy mix, its implications for future supply strategies, and the latest trends in investment to enhance energy supply infrastructure.

  • Energy Demand

    This panel included projections and trends shaping future energy demand and consumption patterns worldwide. Explored the evolving energy mix, including the role of gas, renewables, and other sources in meeting future energy demands. The panel compared and contrasted the demand from the petrochemical industries and transportation sectors. It also examined the impact of policy and regulatory frameworks on energy demand and consumption patterns, and their role in shaping the future energy landscape.

  • Energy Transition

    The Energy Transition conversation covered the approach for effectively scaling up the transition to renewable and sustainable energy sources on a global scale. Delved into the dynamics of trading renewable energy sources and navigating the transition towards a cleaner energy future, as well as understanding the financial mechanisms and investment opportunities driving the transition to sustainable energy solutions.

  • North American Production

    Our North American production session focused on the factors behind the surge in US production in 2023 and its implications for global energy markets. Providedinsights into the projected trends and challenges facing North American energy production up to 2030. Examined the effects of policy changes in the United States on both domestic and international energy markets, and explored the trends and implications of mergers and acquisitions in the North American energy sector.

  • Trading Energy Markets

    Covering the fundamentals of trading energy, the Trading Energy Markets session included discussions of futures contracts versus physical trading, the impact of artificial intelligence and algorithmic trading on both energy markets and investment strategies. Attendees learnt about emerging players, new markets, and innovative trading strategies shaping the future of these markets. 

  • Geopolitics & Energy Security

    This session delved into the analysis of the geopolitical landscape. Participants understood how alliances and conflicts shaped access to energy resources globally. They assessed the impact of elections and political stability on energy security and international energy relations. They also explored how technological advancements were reshaping conflicts and their potential impact on energy infrastructure worldwide.

  • Macro and Financing

    The Macro and Financing session explored and analysed macroeconomic factors influencing energy markets and investment decisions on a global scale, reflecting on how these may change and the impact on energy markets.

  • Energy Aspects' exclusive product launches

    Delegates were part of an elite audience privy to exclusive insights as EA unveild new products, offering guidance for strategic planning.
