Mohamed Kurdi is the General Director of the Oil Markets Analysis Department under the International Oil Markets and OPEC Affairs Deputyship at the Ministry of Energy, Saudi Arabia. He oversees the analysis of oil market fundamentals, providing insights and analysis to support the Kingdom’s policy in the global oil market. In addition to this role, he also chairs the Executive Board of the International Energy Forum (IEF) as the representative from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Before joining the Ministry of Energy, Mohamed held various positions at Saudi Aramco, working across multiple operating facilities, including the Ras Tanura Refinery and Abqaiq Plant.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from McGill University and dual graduate degrees—an MBA and an MS in Engineering Systems—from MIT.
